We never store your photo.

When you check a photo, it is held in memory just long enough to analyse it and is then discarded. We do not save it, we do not build a gallery, and we cannot look at it later.

Where the photo goes

To do the actual check, your photo is sent over an encrypted connection to a third-party AI model service (Hugging Face) that runs the detection models, and the result comes back to us. We want to be plain about that rather than let "never stored" imply the photo never leaves us. That service processes the image to return a score; PhotoClean keeps no copy at either end.

What we do keep

• Counts only — how many checks were run and what the results were. Numbers, not pictures.
• Purchases — if you buy checks, PayPal handles the payment and we record the transaction and the email PayPal gives us, so you can unlock the checks you paid for.
• A cookie that remembers your free check has been used, and (if you arrived through a partner's link) which partner sent you.

What we don't do

• No accounts, no passwords, no sign-up.
• No selling or sharing of your data.
• No face database, no identifying who is in a photo.

Please be decent

PhotoClean is for checking someone you are actually talking to. Please don't use it to label, expose or embarrass other people. A result is an automated estimate — it is not proof, and no detector is 100% accurate.

Questions or removal

Email info@photoclean.me and a real person will answer. Since we don't store photos, there is normally nothing to delete — but if you bought checks and want your purchase record removed, just ask.
